The Barmer Inclusive School located in a Barmer-Rajasthan that provides medical and developmental assistance to mentally-challenged youth, with the objective of facilitating their gradual integration into the mainstream of society. Staffed by a team of trained, experienced and committed professionals, the focus areas of the Institute include Early Identification, Remedial Correction, Rehabilitative Intervention, Special Education, Vocational Training and Placement for children with various Neuro- developmental Disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy,Autism and other mental Disabilities.
The staff at Barmer Inclusive School comprise trained professionals skilled in the areas of physiotherapy, child development, and vocational training, committed to providing necessary care and corrective intervention to mentally challenged children between the ages of 3 yrs to 18 yrs. Largely focused on children from economically backward families, the Institute has, over the years, been able to provide necessary medical and rehabilitation assistance to hundreds of such children from all over the Barmer. The Institute is recognized by the Departments of Education and Social Welfare, Government of Rajasthan.
Children are assisted to address cognitive, emotional, or physical challenges primarily teaching them life skills. Various techniques are deployed to promote learning. Depending on the ability of the child, teaching methods include intensive individualized programme, therapeutic approach and group learning.
Special educators plan an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for each student. The IEP sets personalized goals for the student and is tailored to the student’s individual needs and abilities.
Our work does not end at school and the teachers work closely with parents to inform them of their children’s progress and suggest techniques to promote learning outside of school. We also conduct special workshops for Parents, so that they can continue the learning process at home as well.
Infrastructure plays an important role in overall development of students. The school has access to large campus and an auditorium. Along with Audio-Visual techniques, students also use the facility of computer lab and a customized kitchen to learn cooking skills. Apart from a soft play area, the school inaugurated a gymnasium that addresses the therapeutic needs of special children.

Regular Paediatric neurology camps are conducting to provide expert consultation and medical aid to children with epilepsy and other Neuro developmental disabilities.
A Physiotherapy Centre is attached to the school for the benefit of children with various developmental disorders and deformities.
The Barmer Inclusive School provides academic teaching, training in self-care and daily living, moral education, Sports and Games and Cultural acticities Programmes for Intellectually & Physically Challenged students, age group – 3 to 18 years.
Here training is given to parents in Rehabilitating children with Mental Challenges and Cerebral Palsy, especially in Home based Management.
Students in the Vocational Class are given training in Agriculture and to make Handicrafts, Phenoil, Candle,Detergent Washing Powder & Tailoring. Above 18 years.
